NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES
a. CBS Radio and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s “Free Flight to Vegas Sweepstakes” (“Sweepstakes”) will begin on 08/4/2008 at 12:00:01 AM Eastern Time (“ET”) and will end on 08/24/2008 at 11:59:59 PM ET (“Entry Dates”). (Entrants from the Los Angeles market can enter until 11:59:59 PM ET on 08/31/2008, and the Entry Dates for entrants from the Los Angeles market shall include this extended period.)
b. Visit participating CBS Radio station web sites during the Entry Dates and select the Sweepstakes banner to open the Sweepstakes Micro Site window (“Micro Site”) or visit the Micro Site directly at survey.cbsradio.com/vegas. To enter the Sweepstakes during the Entry Dates, following the online instructions, entrants will be required to select their home market, and then submit their first name and last name, complete address, city, state, ZIP code, telephone number, date of birth, and a valid email address in the online entry form. Failure to designate a home market will invalidate your entry. Only one (1) internet entry per person and per email address regardless of the home market designated. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible by assigning email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same email address. All entries submitted become the sole property of the Administrator and will not be acknowledged or returned. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of an entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by Administrator. Administrator’s computer is the official time keeping device for the Sweepstakes. The Administrator is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outage or delays, computer difficulties or other technological glitches.
c. Only entries submitted during the Entry Dates will be included in the Sweepstakes random drawing. Entries submitted after the Entry Dates will not be eligible for the Sweepstakes drawing.
2. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
a. The Sweepstakes is open to U.S. residents, age 21 or older who live in the following market areas: Chicago (IL, IN, and WI residents only); Dallas (TX residents only); Denver (CO residents only); Houston (TX residents only); Los Angeles (CA residents only); Phoenix (AZ residents only); San Diego (CA residents only); San Francisco (CA residents only); and Seattle (WA residents only). Employees of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (“Sponsor”), CBS Radio Inc. (“Administrator”), and each of their parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities, advertising agencies, participating sponsors/promotional partners, other radio stations respectively in the Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle metropolitan areas and the members of their immediate families (mother, father, step-mother, step-father, siblings, children, spouse) or households are ineligible to participate or win.
b. Only one Winner per household is permitted in the Sweepstakes. Prizes will be awarded pending verification of eligibility.
c. Entrants are required to provide truthful information and the Administrator will reject and delete any entry that it discovers to be false or fraudulent. The Administrator will disqualify any entry from individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements, and the Administrator will also delete any entry knowingly received from persons under the age of 13 in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
3. PRIZES:
a. Sixty-four (64) Prizes distributed by market as noted below: Round trip coach airfare for two (winner and guest) to Las Vegas from a major airport nearest winner’s residence as solely determined by the Administrator and corresponding with the markets below. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $670 each. (Actual retail value of trip may vary and will depend on airfare fluctuations and winner's point of departure/return. Any difference between stated approximate retail value and actual value of prize will not be awarded.) Total ARV of all Prizes: $40,000.
b. Trip is subject to availability and blackout dates, and travel must be roundtrip. Administrator will determine airline and flight itinerary in its sole discretion. All travel must be booked through Administrator at least 30 days prior to departure. No refund or compensation will be made in the event of the cancellation or delay of any flight. Travel is subject to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and those set forth by the Administrator's airline carrier of choice as detailed in the passenger ticket contract. All expenses and incidental travel costs not expressly stated in the package description above, including but not limited to, accommodations, ground transportation, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses are solely the responsibility of the winner. Unless child of winner, travel companion must be eighteen (18) years of age or older as of the date of departure and must travel on same itinerary and at the same time as the winner. If winner is a minor in his/her state of residence, travel companion must be winner's parent/legal guardian. Travel companion must execute liability/publicity releases prior to issuance of travel documents.
c. There is no substitution, transfer, or cash equivalent for prizes, except that the Administrator may, at its sole discretion, substitute prizes of comparable value or cash. The prizes are expressly limited to the item(s) listed above and do not include taxes, gratuities or any other expenses. Other restrictions may apply.
4. SELECTION OF WINNERS
a. Decisions of Administrator with respect to the Sweepstakes are final.
b. Beginning on 08/25/2008 (9/1/2008 in Los Angeles), the Administrator will select a total of sixty-four (64) potential winners in separate random drawings of all eligible entries received as of the end of the Entry Period. Random drawings will be conducted by market, and prizes will be distributed, one (1) Prize per winner, as follows:
Nine (9) Prizes will be awarded to nine (9) winners from the Chicago market;
Five (5) Prizes will be awarded to five (5) winners from the Dallas market;
One (1) Prize will be awarded to one (1) winner from the Denver market;
Three (3) Prizes will be awarded to three (3) winners from the Houston market;
Twenty four (24) Prizes will be awarded to twenty four (24) winners from the Los Angeles market;
Five (5) Prizes will be awarded to five (5) winners from the Phoenix market;
Two (2) Prizes will be awarded to two (2) winners from the San Diego market;
Eleven (11) Prizes will be awarded to eleven (11) winners from the San Francisco market; and
Four (4) Prizes will be awarded to four (4) winners from the Seattle market.
c. Odds depend on the number of entries received in each market. The Winner need not be present or listening to win. Potential winners will be notified via email on or around the first day following the end of the Sweepstakes of how to claim the prize or prize certificate and will be required to execute and return any required Affidavit of Eligibility and/or Release of Liability Prize Acceptance Form within ten (10) business days of winning or prize will be forfeited and an alternate Winner may be randomly selected. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period, or if a prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize.
5. CONDITIONS
a. Payments of all federal, state and local taxes are solely the responsibility of the winners. Winners will be required to complete and submit an IRS Form W-9 with the winner’s full Social Security Number or the equivalent for receipt of any prize valued at $600 or more or for any prizes awarded by the Station in a calendar year with an aggregate value of $600 or more. Failure to submit a complete W-9 or equivalent will result in forfeiture of the prize.
b. By participating in the Sweepstakes, the winner or winners agree to have their name, voice, or likeness used in any advertising or broadcasting material relating to this Sweepstakes without additional financial or other compensation, and, where legal, to sign a publicity release confirming such consent prior to acceptance of the prize.
c. Prior to awarding any prize or prize certificate, the Administrator in its sole discretion may require Sweepstakes winners (and their travel companions, if any) to sign a liability release, agreeing to hold the Sponsor, Administrator, and each of their parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, and the officers, shareholders, directors, employees, agents and representatives of each of them harmless against any and all claims or liability arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes.
d. The Administrator, in is sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the Administrator’s website or Micro Site, or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the Sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.
e. The Administrator reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the Sweepstakes, including the substitution of a prize of equivalent value, which will become effective upon announcement. If due to circumstances beyond the control of the Administrator, any travel or event related to any prize is delayed, rescheduled, postponed or cancelled, the Administrator reserves the right, but not the obligation, to cancel or modify the Sweepstakes and shall not be required to award a substitute prize.
f. Failure to comply with the Sweepstakes rules may result in an entrant’s disqualification solely at the discretion of the Administrator.
g. The Administrator is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the Sweepstakes, or in the announcement of a prize.
h. For the names of the prize winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope for receipt by 10/31/2008 to “Free Flight to Vegas - Winners, c/o CBS Radio, Attention J. Principale, 1515 Broadway 46th Floor, New York, NY 10036. For Official Rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the above address marked "Free Flight to Vegas - Official Rules” for receipt by 08/31/2008. The names of Prize Winners and the Official Rules will also be posted at survey.cbsradio.com/vegas.
6. INTERNET SWEEPSTAKES PRIVACY POLICY
a. By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to the Terms of Use Agreement and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at: survey.cbsradio.com/vegas.
